Alrighty then..

I have gone and removed Equestria Weekly from view.

When I can afford the space and time to produce it (who knows, might be years) I'll start again proper.

For now, if I feel motivated enough to prepare another episode (still want to do a Purpletinker episode) I'll release it here.

The shift in gears is in the interest of doing something I can actually do out of my home.. details after the break.

Indie game development.

I know my projects hardly ever seem to be related, but they're all things I wanted to do.. just as I've written before: the web show quickly became a chore, not something done for the joy of it.

Which is why it's on hiatus until I can afford to move into my own place. If I had the space to set up a little filming area, and in an unshared place.. keeping up with weekly videos would be no issue at all.

As it is, though, it's a huge hassle until then.

Now onto the game development..

I've been planning, preparing, and thinking about projects in great detail.

I will likely open a new sub-blog where I post production details.

For now I'm coming up with some ideas for things I wanted to do and themes I wanted to use in games, as well as selecting game engines and such.

After the finals I will begin developing.

The most central reason why I am switching to this: I feel it is within my abilities to develop indie games given my art, gaming, and programming experience, and this will be one of the first projects I can freely do where I am now.

College ends for me Thursday, at which point... I'm taking a much needed break. I just.. can't.. I need time away from that.

But I can't sit still, either, thus: this latest thing.

Following some advice I got who quoted developers as saying "Every game developers has 10 crappy games in them." and recommends not starting with a project you really want to do until after you've done a bunch of smaller games and feel you have a handle on it.

So for now I'm coming up with a bunch of ideas for when the semester is finally completely over for me, this coming Thursday.

Not sure I will post any executables to the internet until after I have something I feel is worth playing, but I do plan on posting screenshots and development videos.
